Pro-Palestine activists blockaded the UK offices of insurers Chubb and Sompo. The campaign group Boycott Bloody Insurance organized the demonstrations across London, Manchester, Glasgow, and Maidstone.
Protesters demand that both firms sever ties with Israeli arms manufacturer Elbit Systems. Activists claim the insurers provide underwriting for Elbit and its UK subsidiary, UAV Engines.
A formal letter delivered to Chubb management requested an immediate end to the relationship. Similar previous actions successfully pressured Allianz and Aviva to terminate their underwriting for Elbit.
