Bankers are reportedly assembling debt packages of up to €7 billion to finance the potential sale of a majority stake in Siemens Energy AG’s steam turbines unit, Bloomberg reported on October 9, 2026. The unit is formally known as the Transformation of Industry division.
The financing is intended to support bids from potential buyers, including private equity firms CVC Capital Partners and EQT AB. The unit could be valued at more than €10 billion.
The proposed package reportedly includes €4.5 billion to €5 billion in drawn debt, such as leveraged loans and bonds. The sale is part of Siemens Energy’s plan to separate the division and focus on its core power generation and transmission assets.
