Draganfly Inc. has established Draganfly Defense USA, Inc., a U.S. subsidiary focused on expanding the company’s presence in American defense and national security. The subsidiary is designed to meet U.S. defense customers’ security, regulatory and compliance requirements.
The company appointed Thomas B. Modly, former Acting Secretary of the U.S. Navy, as chairman of the subsidiary’s board. Modly, who has served on Draganfly’s board since 2024, will step down from the parent company’s board to lead the U.S. defense unit. Brigadier General AJ Pasagian (Ret.) will serve as the subsidiary’s president.
Draganfly Defense USA will focus on unmanned aerial systems, counter-UAS technologies, artificial intelligence and secure communications. The subsidiary is structured to address domestic security protocols, including data protection and export controls, as the company serves the U.S. military market.
