Julie Sawyer Montgomery became President and Chief Executive Officer of Danaher Corporation on October 1, 2026. The board announced the appointment on August 3, 2026, as part of its succession plan. Montgomery joined Danaher in 2017 and also joined the company’s Board of Directors.
Montgomery previously served as Executive Vice President, overseeing Danaher’s Diagnostics platform. During her tenure, the platform’s annual revenue nearly doubled, rising from approximately $6 billion to $11 billion. She succeeds Rainer Blair, who has served as CEO since 2020. Blair will remain with the company as a senior advisor until March 31, 2027, to support the leadership transition.
