Deere & Company plans to close its Ottumwa Works factory in Iowa by the end of fiscal 2028 and cease manufacturing operations at its Clarion, Iowa, facility. The changes are part of a broader adjustment to the company’s production footprint.

Deere will move windrower production from Ottumwa to its Des Moines Works facility by the end of fiscal 2027. In the following fiscal year, it will move round baler production to Des Moines Works, completing the Ottumwa factory’s closure.
