Data Patterns, a key supplier of electronic systems to India’s defence sector, is taking longer to convert its order book into revenue. Chairman S. Rangarajan said the government’s push for indigenous manufacturing has created substantial opportunities, but a shortage of inspection personnel is holding up product deliveries.

The company’s order book stood at ₹2,654 crore as of June 30. Rangarajan said inspection-related delays have recurred, widening the gap between receiving orders and realizing revenue.
