DoorDash and Marc Lore’s food-tech firm Wonder announced a strategic partnership worth $425 million.

DoorDash will acquire Wonder’s Grubhub Campus Dining business for $300 million. The campus dining service, formerly Tapingo, currently allows student orders at more than 450 colleges and universities.

DoorDash is also investing $125 million into Wonder’s Series D funding round. Wonder will use the capital to develop technology, robotics, and artificial intelligence.

The deal allows Wonder to focus on building a fully autonomous food system. DoorDash plans to scale the campus dining model into new venues like stadiums and hotels.

The companies expect the transaction to close in the first half of 2027.
