DBS Group Holdings appointed Gautam Banerjee to the boards of DBS Group Holdings and DBS Bank. Mr. Banerjee is the Singapore chairman and senior managing director of Blackstone. His appointment is effective October 1, 2026. He will serve as a non-executive and independent director.
The appointment occurs as DBS reportedly develops a succession plan for its current chairman, Peter Seah. Mr. Seah has served for over 16 years.
Mr. Banerjee spent over 30 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He served nine years as its Singapore executive chairman. He currently serves on the boards of Singapore Telecommunications and GIC Private Limited. DBS Chairman Peter Seah stated that Mr. Banerjee's expertise will strengthen the board. His expertise includes governance, risk oversight, and long-term value creation.
