Cisco Systems introduced new silicon, systems, and optical technologies at the Open Compute Project (OCP) Global Summit 2026. These aim to advance open AI infrastructure. The technologies improve network scalability and performance. They support large-scale AI and machine learning workloads across data centers and distributed computing environments.

Cisco collaborates with NVIDIA to develop an open industry specification. This specification is for a next-generation 400G-per-lane pluggable optics design. It aims to increase bandwidth density.

Cisco also revealed its new 1.6T G302 silicon chip. Systems powered by Cisco's P200 silicon are now in production use. Major hyperscalers, including Microsoft and Alibaba, utilize these systems.
