Cisco Systems Inc. has signed a memorandum of understanding with Bell Canada (BCE) to develop sovereign AI infrastructure for Canadian organizations. The initiative aims to give government agencies and other regulated industries greater control over where their sensitive AI systems and data are located and how they are managed.
The collaboration will combine Bell’s Canadian data centers and network capabilities with Cisco’s AI infrastructure, including its AI PODs and Sovereign Critical Infrastructure technologies. The companies will also explore flexible consumption models that let customers access or reserve AI infrastructure.
The initiative comes amid growing global demand for sovereign cloud and AI solutions.
