At its annual stockholder meeting, Carpenter Technology (NYSE: CRS) said fiscal year 2026 was the most profitable in its history, surpassing its previous record set in fiscal 2025. Chairman and CEO Tony Thene attributed the performance to strong demand from the aerospace and defense markets and the company’s specialized capabilities.
The company said its major brownfield capacity expansion remains on schedule and within budget. The project is intended to increase capacity to meet growing customer demand and strengthen Carpenter’s competitive position.
Fiscal year 2026 ended June 30. The company generated $702 million in operating income for the year. That was a 34% increase over the prior year.
