Albert White III has stepped down as president, CEO and board member of CooperCompanies, effective immediately. The change follows a period in which the company’s performance fell short of board expectations. Shares fell nearly 3% in after-hours trading following the news.
Independent director Walter M. Rosebrough, Jr. was appointed Executive Chair on an interim basis. He will oversee daily operations while the board searches for a permanent CEO. Rosebrough said the board believed “decisive action is needed” in response to the company’s recent performance. White will serve as a strategic advisor through April 1, 2027, to assist with the transition.
CooperCompanies also announced board changes, including the future addition of one director and the departure of three others. The company reaffirmed its fiscal year 2026 financial guidance.
