Om Prakash Bhatt resigned as the Non-Executive Independent Director and Chairman of Coforge, effective September 8, 2026.
An internal audit of the board evaluation process triggered the departure. The audit revealed that material information regarding the evaluation report and Bhatt's performance was not fully disclosed to the board.
Bhatt maintained he acted in good faith but cited a disagreement that hindered effective board functioning. The board was reviewing his response to these concerns at the time of his resignation.
Vivek Sharma will serve as interim chairman until January 31, 2027. Sharma currently holds a position as a non-executive independent director at the company.
