Centene shares rose as much as 3.5% during the trading session after the company announced a national Gold Card program. The stock closed up 2.8% and reached a new 52-week high.

The program is set to launch in November 2026 and will initially cover more than 160,000 providers for certain outpatient services. It aims to reduce administrative work by giving providers with a record of following evidence-based clinical guidelines a streamlined review process.

The initiative addresses a major source of friction between insurers and medical providers.
