Clicks Group has agreed to acquire an additional 35.3% stake in premium beauty retailer ARC Store for R507 million. The deal will give Clicks a controlling 61% shareholding, deepening its presence in South Africa’s prestige beauty market. It is subject to approval by competition authorities.
The relationship between Clicks and ARC began with an initial investment in 2021. Founded in 2020, ARC operates 12 stores and has a strong online presence. It plans to expand to 20–30 stores in the medium term.
ARC’s executive management team will remain with the business until at least 2028, providing continuity.
