WTI crude oil futures dropped significantly after reports indicated a substantial recovery in Saudi Arabian oil exports for September. Shipments have reportedly climbed back above 4 million barrels per day, a sharp increase from the multi-year lows seen in August. This rebound in supply is alleviating market fears of a significant supply shortage that had previously driven prices higher. This increase in physical barrels is currently outweighing the geopolitical risk premium from ongoing Houthi attacks on Saudi infrastructure.
