Cameco suspended operations at its Cigar Lake uranium mine in Saskatchewan.
The pause stems from a shutdown at Orano’s McClean Lake processing mill. Repairs to the mill's sulfuric acid plant caused the operational halt.
Limited ore storage capacity at Cigar Lake prevents continued mining during the mill's downtime. Management expects the mill to return to service in approximately two weeks.
The disruption currently does not affect Cameco’s 2026 production outlook. Extended delays could potentially impact the company's production guidance.
