SpaceX and Charter Communications are holding executive-level talks regarding a potential U.S. consumer mobile partnership. The collaboration supports SpaceX’s goal of becoming a direct-to-consumer mobile provider.
SpaceX would route future mobile traffic through Charter’s ground-based internet and Wi-Fi infrastructure. Charter would leverage the Starlink satellite network to expand Spectrum Mobile coverage in rural areas.
Neither company has officially commented on the discussions.
