Coherus Oncology announced encouraging interim clinical data from its TREGCHECK™ program for its investigational antibody, tagmokitug, in combination with toripalimab. The treatment demonstrated significant anti-tumor activity, particularly in first-line esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC), showing a high response rate and a manageable safety profile.
Key Details
- First-Line ESCC Efficacy: In evaluable patients, the tagmokitug combination therapy achieved a confirmed overall response rate (cORR) of 75% (6/8), which increased to 89% (8/9) after the data cutoff date. In PD-L1 positive patients, the cORR was 100%.
- Second-Line ESCC Efficacy: In the 700mg dose arm, the therapy showed a median Progression-Free Survival (mPFS) of 5.5 months, favorably comparing to the standard of care benchmark of approximately 3.4 months.
- Safety & Path Forward: The treatment demonstrated a manageable safety profile with no new signals identified. Based on these interim findings, Coherus plans to expand enrollment in its first-line and second-line ESCC clinical trial cohorts.
