The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) awarded Cardinal Health multiple contracts with a combined potential value of approximately $2.7 billion. The agreements are part of the Medical Surgical Prime Vendor program, which supplies military and federal healthcare agencies.

The fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contracts make Cardinal Health a supplier to all branches of the U.S. military, the Defense Health Agency, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and the Department of Health and Human Services. The DLA awarded the contracts through a competitive bidding process.

The contracts include a two-and-a-half-year base period. They also include three optional extension periods of the same length. The potential ordering period runs through December 2029.
