BFF Bank S.p.A. is reviewing a non-binding offer from Cerberus Capital Management for a stake of less than 30%. The proposal involves a capital increase of approximately €300 million. Directors discussed the move during a board meeting on Thursday, September 11, 2026.

The bank aims to strengthen its capital position after the Bank of Italy identified a potential shortfall by 2028. Regulators have required the lender to take immediate measures to address these capital requirements.

BFF Bank has also received preliminary offers for several business units. BPER Banca SpA is interested in the payments and depositary-bank divisions. State-backed AMCO submitted a proposal for the bank's factoring operations. Sella Group has also expressed interest in acquiring the payments business.
