Oracle reaffirmed that Bloom Energy will remain the primary power provider for its Project Jupiter AI data center campus in New Mexico. The confirmation came as Oracle announced a separate, supplemental energy arrangement with El Paso Electric.
The proposed utility deal would support late-stage construction and initial commissioning, and provide emergency backup power. Oracle said it would not change the plan to use Bloom Energy’s fuel cell microgrid as the campus’s main power source. The facility is designed to use up to 2.45 gigawatts of Bloom Energy fuel cells.
Oracle has also offered up to $55 million a year in electricity bill credits for El Paso Electric’s residential and small business customers. The credits could be provided for up to three years.
