BlackBerry’s QNX division developed an autonomous driving platform in collaboration with partners Momenta and XHEART.
The platform achieved the ISO 26262 ASIL D certification, representing the highest global safety standard. This certification allows automakers to deploy advanced driver assistance systems in markets with stringent regulations, such as Europe.
The development reinforces BlackBerry’s focus on safety-critical software and the Physical AI market. This milestone supports a bullish long-term revenue outlook for BlackBerry as a primary supplier of complex automotive operating systems.
