Alibaba Group Holding Ltd. will launch its first cloud data centers in Turkey, Finland, and the Netherlands over the next 12 months. The company announced the plan at its Apsara conference in Hangzhou to accelerate global cloud and AI growth.
Surging international demand for AI infrastructure drives the expansion. The move positions Alibaba Cloud to compete directly with Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure in European and Middle Eastern markets.
Alibaba will also expand its data center footprint in Malaysia, Germany, the UAE, France, and Hong Kong. These upgrades will support localized cloud and AI service delivery.
