Alibaba Group Holding Ltd. on Tuesday unveiled its next generation of smart glasses, the Qwen Glasses N1 series, as it expands into AI-powered consumer electronics.

The glasses feature 50-megapixel cameras and closer integration with Alibaba’s Qwen AI assistant for tasks such as shopping and payments. The standard N1 starts at 2,999 yuan (about $450). The 3,499-yuan (about $520) Pro version adds eye tracking and iris-based payment authentication.

Alibaba also began sales of its Qwen Clip AI earbuds, developed with Bose and priced at 1,299 yuan.

The hardware expansion gives consumers more ways to use Alibaba’s AI tools and agents, while putting the company in more direct competition with tech giants such as Meta Platforms, which is also investing heavily in AI-powered wearables.
