Barrick Mining confirmed it is targeting an initial public offering (IPO) by year-end 2026 for its North American gold assets, a plan central to its growth strategy. [2] At Mining Forum Americas, CEO Mark Hill said the IPO remains on track. [3, 6] He said administrative formalities could push the listing into January 2027 without causing a significant delay. [3, 6]
The new public company will hold Barrick’s 61.5% stake in the Nevada Gold Mines joint venture and its interest in the Pueblo Viejo mine in the Dominican Republic. [3] Barrick plans to sell a 10–15% minority interest while retaining majority control. [3]
The plan follows an August agreement with joint venture partner Newmont. The agreement resolved disputes and cleared a key hurdle for the proposed listing. [3, 13]
