AstraZeneca and Daiichi Sankyo’s breast cancer drug, Enhertu, received a recommendation for routine NHS use in England.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) approved the antibody-drug conjugate for adults with HER2-low advanced or metastatic breast cancer.

This decision will benefit approximately 1,000 women annually.

The recommendation follows a new agreement between the UK government and AstraZeneca to resolve previous cost concerns.
