A media investigation alleges that US-based Axon Enterprise continues to supply Israel with Taser electroshock weapons allegedly used to torture Palestinian prisoners.
Former detainees said they were repeatedly shocked with Taser devices in Israeli detention centers between 2024 and 2025.
Human rights organizations have condemned the allegations of torture and ill-treatment involving electric shock devices. The Israeli military and police have reportedly used Tasers since 2009.
An Israel Defense Forces spokesperson said detainee abuse is strictly prohibited. The spokesperson added that restraints are used only in exceptional circumstances under Israeli law.
