AXIA Energia’s board approved an additional allocation of up to R$4 billion to redeem Class C preferred shares (PNCs), based on the company’s second-quarter results. The company had already authorized R$7.7 billion in 2026. The new allocation brings potential capital for shareholder distributions to R$11.7 billion.

The redemptions will depend on the company’s liquidity. AXIA said the PNC structure is part of its capital-return strategy and functions similarly to a share buyback. The approved amount is a budgetary forecast, not a guarantee that the redemptions will be fully completed during the 2026 fiscal year.
