Qualcomm has begun a jury trial against Arm Holdings in a Delaware federal court, alleging breach of contract. Qualcomm says Arm failed to provide essential chip-testing tools and harmed its business negotiations with Meta by leaking a 2024 threat to terminate a license agreement.

The dispute involves potentially billions of dollars in royalty payments. Qualcomm is asking the court to halt those payments for up to five years.

Arm denies the allegations, calls Qualcomm’s claimed damages speculative and says Qualcomm also leaked confidential information. The trial is the latest development in the companies’ deepening legal conflict.
