Aclara Resources is expanding Project Dynamo, its planned rare earth separation facility in Louisiana. The project will add separation capabilities for yttrium, gadolinium, and samarium to its planned production of neodymium-praseodymium, dysprosium, and terbium, which are essential for permanent magnets.

Aclara has begun installing additional solvent extraction circuits at its demonstration plant at Virginia Tech to pilot separation of the three newly added materials.

CEO Ramon Barua said the expansion advances Aclara’s strategy by adding materials critical to power generation, aerospace, and infrastructure supporting artificial intelligence.

The announcement follows a stock decline the previous day, attributed to general caution toward development-stage mining companies.
