Applied Digital has secured an agreement for up to 1 gigawatt (GW) of potential power capacity in Finland, marking its first international expansion. The company plans to develop a large-scale AI Factory campus for high-performance computing and artificial intelligence workloads serving hyperscale customers.
Initial power at the campus is expected to be available in 2028. Applied Digital selected Finland for its favorable climate, stable energy ecosystem and strong digital connectivity. The company is already in discussions with potential customers for the site.
Applied Digital said its near-term focus remains on its U.S. projects, while the Finland expansion supports its long-term growth strategy.
