Amgen announced that its Phase 3 DeLLphi-305 study for lung cancer therapy IMDELLTRA met its primary endpoint. The trial evaluated IMDELLTRA in combination with AstraZeneca's Imfinzi as a first-line maintenance treatment.
The study focused on patients with extensive-stage small cell lung cancer (ES-SCLC) whose disease had not progressed after initial standard therapy. Results demonstrated a statistically significant and clinically meaningful improvement in overall survival.
The combination therapy also met key secondary endpoints for progression-free survival and objective response rate. Amgen reported that the safety profile was consistent with the known profiles of the individual drugs.
No new safety concerns were identified during the trial. Amgen plans to share the detailed data with regulatory authorities and present findings at a future medical conference.
