Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) today announced AMD Helion, an open, rack-scale computing platform designed for agentic artificial intelligence workloads. Based on an Open Compute Project (OCP) specification, Helion offers flexible configurations for hyperscale data centers and enterprise customers.

Customers can configure Helion with only CPUs, featuring upcoming 6th Gen AMD EPYC processors, or as an all-in-one system combining EPYC CPUs and Instinct MI350P GPUs. The options let customers tailor performance and power to different AI tasks. Key partners Cisco, Dell, HPE, and Lenovo are developing configurations expected to be available in November 2026.
