Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) secured two significant AI infrastructure deals for new data centers in Europe and India.
In Europe, AMD will supply its Helios™ platform for the continent's largest physical AI data factory. Generative Bionics develops this factory. The facility, located in Italy, begins operations in Q4 2027. It will train humanoid robots by combining real-world data with digital-twin simulations.
Cloud infrastructure company Vultr deploys a new 20 MW supercluster in Chennai, India. This will be the country's largest deployment of AMD Instinct™ GPUs. The new center utilizes AMD's Instinct™ MI355X GPUs. It provides AI training and inference capacity for Indian enterprises and researchers. This addresses local data sovereignty needs.
