Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) today announced AMD Helion, a rack-scale platform designed for agentic AI workloads. AMD plans to contribute the platform to the Open Compute Project.

Helion supports flexible configurations, including CPU-only systems powered by 6th Gen AMD EPYC processors and integrated racks combining CPUs with AMD Instinct GPUs. The platform is designed to support AI agents across applications ranging from personal assistants to complex enterprise workflows.

AMD is developing the systems with Cisco, Dell, HPE, and Supermicro. Availability is planned for November 2026.
