At the OCP Global Summit, AMD CEO Lisa Su said the data center AI accelerator market could reach $1.5 trillion by 2030.

Su expects AI inference to become the sector’s next major growth driver as AI agent workloads expand. Inference could make up 60% of the market.

AMD is expanding its AI infrastructure portfolio with the Helion rack system, designed for agentic AI, and a new EPYC server processor codenamed Verano.

Su confirmed that production shipments of AMD’s Helios rack-scale systems have begun to key customers, including Meta, Microsoft, OpenAI, and Oracle. Production is expected to ramp up through the fourth quarter and into 2027.
