Archer-Daniels-Midland (ADM) announced a major investment on July 30, 2026, to expand oilseed crushing capacity at four U.S. facilities.

The upgrades target existing plants in Frankfort, Indiana; Deerfield, Missouri; Lincoln, Nebraska; and Spiritwood, North Dakota. The project will add approximately 700,000 metric tons of annual capacity. This expansion creates new demand for over 25 million bushels from American farmers.

Improvements include enhanced storage, debottlenecking, and upgrades to extraction and utility systems. ADM expects phased completions between mid-2028 and early 2029. The company is also evaluating similar expansions at other North American sites to meet demand for renewable fuels and vegetable oils.
