Analog Devices (NASDAQ: ADI) has completed its acquisition of Alif Semiconductor, a specialist in artificial intelligence-enabled processors. The deal adds Alif’s power-efficient, AI-native microcontrollers and fusion processors to ADI’s portfolio, aiming to accelerate innovation in intelligent edge devices across industrial, robotics, digital health and wearables markets.
Announced in September 2026, the deal was valued at $1.35 billion in cash, with up to $200 million in additional contingent consideration. Alif’s technology will strengthen ADI’s ability to provide system-level solutions that sense, process data and make decisions locally in real time—a capability the company calls “Physical Intelligence.”
