Analog Devices Inc. (ADI) entered a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Slovak battery manufacturer InoBat AS. They will jointly explore developing an intelligent battery energy storage system (BESS). The collaboration aims to create i-Power+. This platform will meet increasing power demands. Target sectors include AI data centers, hyperscale computing, and utility-scale storage.
The partnership combines InoBat's battery technology with ADI's expertise. ADI's expertise includes wireless battery management systems and edge/cloud AI. The goal is to produce a BESS platform. This platform will extend battery life. It will also improve the accuracy of state-of-health and state-of-charge monitoring. A prototyping pilot is scheduled for October 2026. It will use a lithium iron phosphate (LFP)-based battery container. The pilot will take place at ADI's innovation accelerator in Ireland.
