Analog Devices (ADI) agreed to acquire Alif Semiconductor for $1.35 billion in cash.
The transaction includes potential contingent payments of up to $200 million.
This acquisition strengthens ADI’s position in the artificial intelligence market, specifically for on-device or edge AI applications.
Alif Semiconductor specializes in power-efficient EdgeAI microcontrollers and fusion processors.
ADI will integrate Alif’s digital processing technology with its existing sensing, power management, and connectivity solutions.
The combined portfolio aims to create secure, intelligent systems that process information locally and in real time.
Both companies' boards have approved the transaction.
The deal is expected to close before the end of 2026.
