Tesla released software update 2026.27.10, introducing a safety layer called Automatic Collision Evasion (ACE). This feature automatically steers, brakes, or accelerates to avoid imminent frontal crashes during manual driving. The system operates at speeds below 85 mph when Full Self-Driving (Supervised) is enabled but not active.
Vehicles equipped with AI4/HW4 hardware receive FSD v14.3.10 as part of this rollout. During an ACE intervention, the vehicle mutes the accelerator pedal. Drivers must apply firm steering torque to override the automated system.
The new FSD stack features an upgraded neural network and a rewritten AI compiler. These technical improvements result in reaction times roughly 20% faster than previous versions. Older HW3-equipped cars will receive the parallel FSD v14.2 Lite branch. This legacy version does not include the Automatic Collision Evasion feature.
