Xiaomi launches the 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max flagship smartphones today at 7:00 p.m. in China. The company describes this release as the largest upgrade in its history. These devices are the first to feature the new HyperOS 4 operating system.
The series introduces a 2nm mobile processor and a dual 200MP Leica camera system. The new Super Pixel display features ultra-thin 0.99mm bezels. A rear secondary screen provides additional functionality.
Battery capacity increases to 7,000mAh for the Pro and 8,500mAh for the Pro Max. Xiaomi Group President Lu Weibing confirmed the series will cost more than previous models. Management justifies the price hike by the scale of the hardware advancements.
