Samsung Electronics concluded all legal battles concerning the Game Optimizing Service (GOS) feature on its Galaxy S22 smartphones. The final of eight lawsuits concluded in Israel. This class-action case ended after plaintiffs voluntarily withdrew their claim. The Jerusalem District Court approved the withdrawal on September 9.

The controversy began in 2022. Users discovered the GOS software throttled CPU and GPU performance to manage device temperature. They argued this was not adequately disclosed. Eight lawsuits were filed across South Korea, the United States, and Israel. All four U.S. cases concluded by 2023. Korean suits were dropped in March 2026. None of the cases resulted in a court finding Samsung liable for damages.
