SK Hynix is weighing a Nasdaq initial public offering for its U.S. subsidiary, Solidigm. The listing aims to raise capital for expansion into the artificial intelligence sector.
Proceeds would support high-performance enterprise solid-state drives (eSSDs) used in AI data centers. SK Hynix originally formed Solidigm by acquiring Intel’s NAND and SSD business for approximately $9 billion.
The company is reportedly restructuring Solidigm into a U.S.-based AI investment hub. SK Hynix confirmed it is reviewing options to improve competitiveness but has made no final decision regarding a listing.
